Fang Peng is passionate about making assessments smarter and more effective for all learners. She leads psychometric operations and research for MAP Reading Fluency and supports state summative assessments. With expertise in computer-adaptive testing, large language models, computational psychometrics, and early childhood development, she bridges advanced methodologies with practical assessment solutions.

Prior to joining NWEA in 2022, Dr. Peng worked as a psychometrician at the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, where she gained extensive operational and research experience in large-scale licensure examinations. She holds a PhD in educational psychology, specializing in measurement, evaluation, statistics, and assessment, from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
