NWEA partnership spotlight: Learning from districts’ COVID recovery interventions alongside the American Institutes for Research and Harvard University
In the wake of instructional challenges faced over the past two school years, NWEA®, the Center for Analysis of Longitudinal Data in Education Research (CALDER) at the American Institutes for Research (AIR), and the Center for Education Policy and Research (CEPR) at Harvard University have partnered with a coalition of large school districts across the country to help determine which COVID recovery interventions are working and to what extent.
Since June 2021, the aim of this research has been to provide rapid and practical feedback to the partner districts that helps to inform their ongoing recovery efforts, as well as to offer insights to the larger field. The research team provides each district with rapid-cycle summaries of their MAP Growth performance each term and takes a deeper dive to understand the role of districts’ academic interventions in their recovery each school year and summer.View case study
