Portland, OR – June 19, 2013 – Northwest Evaluation Association™ (NWEA™) announced today that its computer-adaptive assessments Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®) will be available in an iPad®-optimized version for the 2013-2014 school year. iPad-optimized MAP will be available via the Safari browser, with an app to be introduced at a later date. This new platform for MAP supports the widespread use of iPads in U.S. classrooms, and will significantly change the testing dynamic for students throughout the nation. Over 34 million MAP tests are administered each year on school computer systems.
