Modeling Student Test-Taking Motivation in the Context of an Adaptive Achievement Test

Presented at the annual meeting of the National Council on Measurement in Education (NCME), Chicago, April 2015. The reality that unmotivated test taking sometimes occurs has led researchers to consider measurement methods that can manage or accommodate it.​ This study examined the utility of response time-based analyses in understanding the behavior of unmotivated test takers.
