A cup of coffee and a taco

If you spend any time at all in the Texas border town of La Joya, you’ll feel it. “You can go to the furthest corner of our district and somebody’s going to invite you into their home for a cup of coffee and a taco. You can do that in every corner of our district,” says Sebastian Duque Jr., Director of Assessment and Accountability for La Joya ISD.
