NWEA Welcomes New CFO

Laura Crumley will provide financial leadership for the not-for-profit organization

Portland, Ore., February 28, 2022 —  NWEA — the not-for-profit, research and educational services provider serving K-12 students — announced today that Laura Crumley has joined the organization as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She brings more than 20 years of experience in financial leadership through her service at global companies like Dell, Intel, AMD and HID Global.

“Laura rose to the top of a very talented, nation-wide pool of candidates due to her deep financial and leadership experience,” said Chris Minnich, CEO of NWEA. “But it was her passion for management and mentoring, as well as her love of solving problems to ensure great results, that told me we had found the right individual to join our mission-driven organization.”

Most recently, Laura served as the Senior Vice President and CFO at HID Global where she led a large, diverse global team. She spearheaded a significant restructure and supported the acceleration of growth while also boosting previously stagnant revenue. Prior to HID Global, she served as the Executive Director of Finance (Global Support and Deployment Services) at Dell Inc. where she managed a global team and led the financial direction for a $5 billion business. Laura holds an MBA from the University of La Verne and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. View her full background.

“I am very excited to join the NWEA team, and look forward to working closely with the leadership team to advance NWEA’s mission of partnering to help all kids learn,” said Laura Crumley.

She started her new role as CFO of NWEA today.
