NWEA added two new directors to its board: Deb Delisle and Patricia Smith. Deb Delisle is appointed to the post of ASCD’s Executive Director and CEO. She has over 30 years of experience serving in a variety of educational roles which include teacher, principal and superintendent. Patricia Smith serves as the President and CEO of Unitus Community Credit Union. Under her leadership the Oregon-based credit union has doubled its size in assets. Professor Ken Wong, Chair of the Department of Education at Brown University, takes over as board chair. With these changes, NWEA adds expertise in education and non-profit management. We welcome these new members.
