Mayor Emanuel, CPS CEO Forrest Claypool and CPS Chief Education Officer Dr. Janice K. Jackson announced CPS students achieved record scores on the 2015-2016 NWEA MAP exam, which measures academic achievement in grades 2-8. This past school year, CPS students achieved record attainment levels on math and reading and exceeded national averages of student growth, continuing the exceptional progress our students have made in recent years.
