The combined conference brings together two complementary perspectives: understanding learning through evidence and improving learning through instructional coherence. You’ll hear from researchers, assessment leaders, and thought leaders who can help unpack the evidence, as well as educators from schools and districts who can show what successful practices look like in the real world.

Bringing the conferences together creates one experience where educators can move from understanding the evidence to acting on it. Attendees can explore research and assessment insights, see how those ideas are being put into practice in schools and districts, and connect learning across instruction, assessment, intervention, professional learning, leadership, technology, and implementation.

Model Schools Conference is designed for K–12 educators and teams, including teachers, instructional coaches, school and district leaders, curriculum and instruction leaders, assessment and professional learning leaders, and technology leaders. Different roles can explore the same challenges from their own perspectives while learning together and building shared direction for what comes next.

Model Schools Conference 2027 will take place June 27–30, 2027, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee.
