Susan Berg, assessment designer for science at NWEA, is a former science teacher and has been envisioning and developing science assessments for thirteen years at NWEA. She has spent over a decade diving into the NGSS and other multidimensional science standards with her teammates and with esteemed consultants, becoming an expert in multidimensional item alignment and the shifts in science education heralded by these standards.
