Steve Petros

Steve Petros is an Assessment Specialist for the Grand Rapids Public Schools in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In this role, he manages and coordinates the effective use of assessments and student performance data systems. He is the NWEA/MAP district coordinator for over 16,000 students at 40+ sites. Through the district’s partnership with NWEA, GRPS has learned how to look at MAP data differently, as evidenced by custom reporting through the local intermediate school district's data warehouse. In addition to facilitating district-wide PD on the use of student data, he also contributes to the development, implementation and monitoring of student growth for the teacher and administrator evaluation process.
