Jimmy Leak

Jimmy Leak is the director for Accountability, Research, and Evaluation for Guilford County Schools in Greensboro, North Carolina. In his role, Jimmy serves as the leader of several research practice partnerships and grant-funded evaluations with researchers and organizations across the country. Jimmy has led the build-out of data systems and worked with researchers doing tutoring evaluations of the district's tutoring program since 2021. Jimmy also served as the president of the North Carolina Association for Research in Education (NCARE). He has a PhD in education policy and social context from the University of California, Irvine, and a BA in political science and public policy from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
