How do test package updates affect summer testing?

NWEA recommends not downloading the new test packages until after your summer testing window has been completed.
 
As new test packages are released based on changes to state standards, NWEA releases them to districts wishing to download test packages early in preparation for fall testing. 

However, for districts that submit a summer Class Roster File in order to open a summer test window during the NWEA summer term (June 16-August 14), only test packages from the previous term will align with DesCartes for use with Instructional Resources during the summer term.  If the new fall test packages are used for summer testing, the Instructional Resources report will not link to DesCartes: A Continuum of Learning, and the reported goal strands will not match those reported in DesCartes. 

Summer testing districts will also want to take the NWEA summer maintenance window into consideration when planning their testing schedule.
