How it works: Count the calendar week containing the first day of school as Week 1, even if school begins on a Friday. If the midpoint falls on a Monday, count that week. Do not subtract holidays, breaks, or closures.

Season boundaries: Fall = Weeks 1–20, Winter = Weeks 16–30, Spring = Weeks 26–42. If the calculated week falls outside the season range, the calculator uses the nearest valid week.
