Monica is an ICF-certified executive coach and consultant whose mission is to develop and expand the capacity of leaders to positively impact schools, organizations, and society. She holds 25 years of experience in education and senior leadership. Her years as a high school English teacher, assistant principal, principal, nonprofit and state-level leader, and, currently as CEO of Rockett Consultants, LLC, has helped to mold her perception about the powerful influence that effective leaders have in shaping the worlds of those they lead. Her work as a school improvement services leadership coach at NWEA is guided by her expertise and passion to support school leaders with transforming teaching and learning to give children an equitable, high-quality education and, ultimately, success in life. 

Monica earned her bachelor’s in English from Norfolk State University. She earned her master’s in educational leadership and administration from Regent University. She holds an executive certificate in organizational consulting and change leadership from Georgetown University and a professional certificate in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
