Elena Bell, EdM

Elena Bell is a well-respected leader in education who is acknowledged for her strong advocacy and strategic leadership in building collaborative school communities that enhance student academic and life achievement. Elena strongly believes “if we teach at high levels, students will achieve at high levels.” 

Elena began her work in education 19 years ago, serving as a teacher, instructional coach, and principal in District of Columbia, Chicago, and Atlanta public school systems. Elena has supported school leaders, teachers, parents, district leaders, and nonprofit organizations in creating environments that eliminate opportunity gaps, interrupt bias, and remove barriers to academic and social success. Building the capacity of adults to reflect and advance equitable practices in learning communities is the core and daily purpose of her work.

Elena earned her bachelor’s degree from Spelman College and her master’s degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education.
