Dr. Sarah McManus is the Digital Learning Director for the Education Services for the Deaf and Blind Schools at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in Raleigh, North Carolina serving the Governor Morehead School for the Blind, the North Carolina School for the Deaf and the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf. Dr. McManus has over twenty years of experience in education including the areas of test development, testing policy, accountability, technology, curriculum and instruction, and teaching. Past positions at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction include Director of Instructional Content, Director of Learning Systems, Section Chief of Testing Policy and Operations, Test Development Project Manager, and Testing Policy Consultant. She has taught high school mathematics and computer programming in the Wake and Guilford County public schools in North Carolina. She also taught mathematics at Wake Technical Community College and North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.
