Wiliam is the creator of Keeping Learning on Track®, an expert on formative assessment strategies, and co-author of the essential formative assessment research review, Inside the Black Box. He served as Deputy Director of the Institute of Education at the University of London and was Senior Research Director at the Educational Testing Service (ETS). His research on developing effective teacher professional development has been influential throughout the world.
