Pre-K – 12 assessment for learning
Our research-based, computerized assessments help educators answer a crucial question: Are my students learning? By delivering precise, real-time information about every student’s learning triumphs and challenges, we set educators—and students—up for success.
We weren’t expecting to see such consistent, major growth for our students across the board. But now that we know what our students are ready to learn before we even begin teaching them, growth is inevitable—even for our gifted and talented and Title I students.

Why Our Assessments
Assessment for learning means data that make a difference
Differentiate instruction for every student
Pinpoint intervention and enrichment needs
Accelerate students’ academic growth and achievement
Maximize classroom instructional time, staff resources, and budget
Target instructional and professional development time and resources
Explore how data from Measures of Academic Progress® (MAP®), Children’s Progress Academic Assessment™ (CPAA™), and Skills Navigator™, help teachers create personalized instruction that engage every student with his or her learning!
Get clear on the differences between formative, interim, and summative tests
Formative assessment tools and practice provide the day by day, week by week insight teachers need to make adjustments in instruction based on where students are at a given moment.
Interim assessment happens at select intervals in the school year; its data provide an objective measure of progress toward learning objectives, measure student academic growth, and inform instruction.
Summative assessments, whether given at the end of a unit, a semester, or—as in the case of state accountability tests, at the end of the year—demonstrate whether or not students have learned the content provided and whether they are deemed proficient on the measured standards.
