Testing Quick Reference
Important Reminders for Every Testing Season
For a quick review of simple reminders that help ensure your test preparation is easy and successful, please see the list that follows. For further details, you may access a step-by-step guide to the implementation process.
- Use DataBridge to create an accurate Class Roster File (CRF) and Special Programs File (SPF). You can download DataBridge from the Downloads page of the NWEA web site.
- Your district's CRF and SPF are due two weeks prior to your desired testing start date.
- Upload your CRF and SPF to NWEA through the secure Reports Site.
- Create a new NTE directory for each testing term. To reduce the possibility of data loss or corruption, you must begin every new testing season with fresh, clean NTEs. After testing has begun, do not copy your NTE(s) from one location to another; this can cause irreparable data loss.
- Install the latest version of TestTaker; this can be found at http://www.nwea.org/support/
- Use TAA to set up each school in your district to download only those tests that are applicable for the students at those schools.
- Re view the Technical Requirements for MAP testing in the online Document Library.
- Review your infrastructure for connectivity between file servers and work stations.
- Distribute teacher logins and passwords to the appropriate staff. Logins and passwords are available to the Testing Coordinator and School Level Administrators on the Reports Site. Under Online Reports - Logins and Teacher Reports, select the Show Passwords checkbox and click the Submit button.
- Review the desktop security in your testing labs. Limit access to non-test-related applications.
- Remember to upload daily during testing. Online reports are available on the Reports Site 24 hours after uploading.
- Report test items that don't display correctly using our Problem Item Report
- To submit a Data Repair Request (DRR), download the appropriate form from the online Document Library and follow the instructions on the form to submit your request securely.
