Training Continuum

When a district staff understands and uses assessment data, it creates the greatest opportunity to improve teaching and learning. Throughout a partnership with NWEA, members can engage in professional development that cultivates expert users of data. Regardless of previous experience using assessment data, NWEA provides a wide array of opportunities to sharpen data understanding and skills.

Flexible Options

NWEA understands that a school's first priority is educating students, and time for professional development is limited. That's why we offer several different learning options.

Online trainings

provide foundational information in self-paced sessions that fit easily into busy schedules.

Regional trainings

present a cost-effective way to collaborate with educators from your region. Districts typically send several representative staff members who are supported with resources and materials to take back and share with their colleagues.

On-site trainings

are opportunities to bring staff from throughout the district together to explore their own data. We create each on-site training with the flexibility to meet the unique needs of a district.

Member Conferences

In addition, NWEA members share their talent, expertise, creativity, and dedication to improve student learning at member conferences. Regional member conferences are held throughout the year. Annually, NWEA hosts a national Members' Seminar in Portland, Oregon.
