Breakout Sessions Overview

Reports Basics

An overview of the most frequently used NWEA reports. Focused discussion on defining reporting terms and describing various data points.

Technical Issues Q&A

A Client Technical Support Team Specialist will answer technical questions, including setup, configuration of MAP, preparing Class Roster File, using TAA and accessing reports.

Dynamic Reporting Suite

A session introducing the tools and reports available in the Dynamic Reporting Suite, and information on how the data may be used to guide instructional decisions.

Instructional Resources and DesCartes

A session that shows how these two tools can help your staff identify critical gaps in their students' understanding and develop powerful lessons targeting students' readiness to learn.

MAP for Science

Topics include how national and state standards are represented in the test, the development of the goal structures, and the difference between "Concepts & Processes" and "General Science" items.

MAP for Primary Grades

A session focusing on the ways teachers can use MAP for Primary Grades to assess achievement levels efficiently and identify the needs of all primary grades students from struggling to advanced learners.

Norms and RIT Point Growth

A presentation on the variety of ways normative data can be used in the interpretation and application of NWEA data. Use of the 2008 NWEA Normative Data document, RIT Point Growth, and the School Growth Study are discussed.

Training Continuum (Professional Development Workshops)

A session focusing on the variety of options for professional development available to NWEA partners. Designed for administrators and MAP Coordinators responsible for planning long term professional development.

Growth & Goals

This presentation centers on the variety of reports that are available at the teacher, school and/or district levels for analyzing growth patterns and setting goals for the school and district using the growth patterns found, as well as the growth calculator.
