Understanding School Data, Student Data, and Test Packages
Your testing folder, also known as the Network Test Environment (NTE), is the heart of MAPĀ® testing. It is the shared location on your network from which students retrieve test questions from and write their responses.
The NTE folder is made up of three types of data, all of which are required for testing:
- School data. Also known as Agency data, the school data includes information such as encrypted proctor logins and other indexing data.
- Student data. The folder's student data includes the folders for the students where their individual testing histories are securely stored and where new test results are written.
- Test data. The test packages in the NTE folder are the banks of test items that TestTaker delivers to the students.
Please note: All three types of data must be downloaded into your testing folder in order for students to test successfully. In addition, for administering the MAP for Primary GradesĀ® tests, a separate, additional download of audio files is required.
