MAP TAA Error -2147169502

Error -2147169502 produces the message, "The NTE is already in use by another MAP TAA, or a MAP TestTaker Session is in progress."

There are several causes to this error message. To find a solution, follow these steps:

1. Make sure that all computers are logged out of MAP TestTaker and the MAP Test Administration Application (MAP TAA). This is important because MAP TAA must have exclusive access to the NTE folder in order to complete downloads or uploads. 
2. This error can also be caused by insufficient local network permissions to the NTE and files within the NTE folder on the server. Verify that your local network account has full read and write permissions to the folders. For assistance with local network permissions, contact your System Administrator.
3. If you still receive the error after completing the above steps, contact NWEA Technical Support at 877-469-3287.  

Please Note: The new release of Network Test Environment (NTE) Admin 2 software fully replaces the MAP® Test Administration Application (MAP® TAA) for downloading and uploading your MAP® data, adding and modifying students and employees, and changing class assignments.
