How to install the NTE Administration Tool

Please note: the NTE Administration Tool requires a Windows-based machine.

  1. Download the NTE Administration Tool as follows:
  • Download the NTE Administration Tool.
  • In the File Download window, click Save.
  • In the Save As window, find a location to which you want to save the file and then click Save.
  • In the Download complete window, click Close.

Unzip the NTE Administration Tool as follows:

  • Browse to the location where you saved the NTE Administration Tool.
  • Double-click the nte_Admin_setup.zip file and select Setup.exe.
  • Click Extract and in the Extract window, browse to the location to which you want to save the file.
  • Click Extract.

Install NTE Administration Tool as follows:

  • Browse to the location where you extracted the Setup.exe file.
  • Double-click Setup.exe.
  • Follow the instructions as they appear on the screen.
  • Click OK if you receive the message, “This system must be restarted to complete the installation.” 

Log on to the NTE Administration as follows:

  • From the Startmenu, go to Programs > NWEA, then select NTE Administration.
  • In the Connect to NWEA box, type your user name and password.

Set the NTE location or shared file location for each school as follows:

  • In the NTE Administration window, double-click a school name.
  • In the Edit School box, type the shared file pathname or click the box to browse.
  • Click OK.
