Agency Levels and NTE Folders

Your Network Test Environment (NTE) folder contains three types of data:

  • Student Data
  • Test Packages
  • Agency Data

The Agency (School) data in the NTE folder contains information like the encrypted Proctor login information. More importantly, Agency data contains an internal identifier which specifies that your NTE folder is either school-specific or district-wide, meaning the subsequent Student Data downloaded will contain only the students from the Agency level you have specified. When first downloading Agency data, you are asked to specify the Agency of your NTE folder—this means you are designating the NTE folder to contain data specific to one school in your district or the entire district.

It is strongly recommended that the Agency level of your NTE be school-specific.

When performing upload and download functions in the MAP Test Administration Application, you will be asked to specify the Agency level at which you want to perform the action. This Agency level must match the Agency level of the NTE you are working with in order to complete these actions successfully.
