Knowledge Academy
NWEA Knowledge Academy online courses offer all staff members in your district the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of assessment data. Available courses:
MAP® Basics - This course is designed to give participants an overview of the basics of the MAP system in order to develop a grounding in NWEA assessments.
What Every Teacher Needs to Know about MAP - Designed for teachers, this course provides an overview of how MAP data relates to the classroom. It will prompt teachers to begin to think about how the data from the MAP assessment can be used to inform their instruction.
Reports Basics for the Teacher - This course, designed for teachers, provides instruction on how to access the NWEA Reports Site and the different types of reports available online. The course allows teachers to become self-sufficient in obtaining and utilizing the data on their MAP reports.
MAP for All Seasons - This entry-level course is intended to complement the MAP Administration Training by focusing on logistical information for MAP team members in preparation for testing. This course is designed to assist in the training of new staff members added since your MAP Administration Training, and as a refresher to support you in your ongoing work.
We continue to refine our professional development offerings, and will communicate with partners in the future about new directions in this important area. Partners will receive email alerts notifying them about each new Knowledge Academy offering.
Please contact your school/district MAP Coordinator for instructions on how to access Knowledge Academy courses.
