MSCOMCT2 Error

Attention:  The full version of the recently released Windows XP Service Pack 3 does not include the file MSCOMCT2.OCX, which is an ActiveX control module.  This could cause issues within NTE Admin and TAA where you may receive an error message specifically related to this file when attempting to download Agency, Students and/or Test Data.  A MSCOMCT2.OCX specific error message could also occur in areas of the Reports Website that similarly require ActiveX component functionality.  Note that this is in regards to a fresh install of a full version of Windows XP Service Pack 3 and should not be an issue if you’ve performed an upgrade from a previous version of Windows XP.  Before calling Technical Support, please perform the following steps to resolve this issue:

1.  Download the Microsoft Windows Common Controls-2 6.0 from the following Microsoft Web site: http://activex.microsoft.com/controls/vb6/MSCOMCT2.CAB  

2.  Extract the files within the CAB file to your local C:\Windows\System32 folder.

3.  Click on the Start button and choose Run.
 
4.  Type the following: regsvr32 MSCOMCT2.OCX and click OK.

Downloading should function correctly now.
