Where are my Primary Grades Survey with Goals test results? They used to be on the Primary scales.

With the alignment of the MAP for Primary Grades (MPG) scales to the regular MAP scales, it was necessary to move the test segments onto the regular Math and Reading measurement scales. And, now that the data are reported on the regular MAP scales, the MAP for Primary Grades Survey with Goals test segments must be identified as test segments so that they will not appear on the school and district summary reports. Therefore, we chose to show the segments as low-lighted (grayed out) in the various class reports.

Our next step was to put into place the ability to combine the test segments to produce complete tests (for growth measurement) for inclusion in all reports. When you give a student both of the MAP for Primary Grades Reading Survey with Goals test segments within a 28 day period, our system will automatically combine them to produce a combined test event and report that combined test on the reading scale. The same logic applies to the combining of the math test segments in their own 28 day period and placing them on the mathematics scale.  These MAP for Primary Grades combined test events will display in regular font on all MAP reports, including the Dynamic Reporting Suite.

This combining process has been completed on all historical test segments.  And, going forward, as you upload your students’ test segments this combining process will automatically be applied during each day’s test result processing. When you upload the first test segment for a student, it will appear as grayed out (or low-lighted) in the Teacher Report.  When you upload the second test segment for a student it will appear on the Teacher Report for just one day before it is combined.  After the two test segments are combined, only the combined test event will appear in the reports, since all the data are in the combined event.

Another part of the alignment of the MPG reading scale to the MAP reading scale is an automatic process for rescoring the reading test segments. We already rescored the historical events.  And, to cover the case where a client is still using older versions of the MPG Survey with Goals test segments, as these test events are uploaded they are rescored to align them correctly.  These test segments will display for one day in the Teacher Report with the following invalidation code: ***20 Rescore pending.  The next day they will either show as a grayed out (low lighted) test segment, or if they are combined with the other test segment, a combined test will display for the student.
