What rules are used to combine my students' MAP for Primary Grades Survey with Goals tests?
Although the MAP for Primary Grades Survey with Goals test segments can be used separately to assess student understanding, they are also meant to be combined together.
When a student takes both the Mathematics or both the Reading test segments, we will automatically combine them if:
1) Both Math or both Reading segments are taken by a student within 28 days
2) Both segments are valid
- RIT Score: >=100, <= 340
- Duration >= 3 minutes
After combining, the two test segments will no longer be reported, only the combined test event will be visible in reports. This combined test event becomes the growth event reported for the student. The test name changes to one of these names, depending on the subject.
