Test Warm-up Audio Script – MAP for Primary Grades

The Test Warm-up can be administered in several different ways depending on the familiarity of your students with computers. Students more familiar with computers will be able to complete the Test Warm-up on their own. Each step in the Warm-up is presented to the student with visual and audio directions, and each type of test item functionality is presented to familiarize the student with the required actions needed to answer the questions.

For students less familiar with computers and testing, this script is provided for you containing all the audio in the Test Warm-up. This allows you to work with a group, or individual students, and help them understand the tasks given in the Warm-up.

When your students begin using the MAP for Primary Grades tests they will be presented with the same familiarization items they interacted with in the Test Warm-up. They are presented at the beginning of the test. It is our hope that they will recognize the items and understand that the other items in the test will function in the same fashion as the Test Warm-up familiarization items.
