How to combine data files
The Student ID is a data point included in each of the 4 different types of Comprehensive Data Files. The Student ID can be used to combine information about a particular student based on 2 or more of the files. For example, if you're looking at assessment results and want to determine which class a particular student was in, the Student ID from the Assessment Results file may be cross-referenced with the same Student ID from the Class Assignments file.
Another method that can be used to combine the data from multiple Comprehensive Data Files is to import each of the files into a common database. You can then use the Student ID to query for information for a particular student.
Please note: Maintaining databases of student information is each school district's responsibility.
