How to prepare students for the Mathematics with Spanish Audio tests
Read the following directions to your students before they take the Mathematics with Spanish Audio tests. The directions are provided in both English and Spanish.

Va a tomar un examen especial en donde se pueden escuchar las preguntas en español.
Mire la pantalla de su computadora y verifique que tiene su nombre y número de identificación.
Hoy va a tomar un examen llamado "Meaures of Academic Progress." Va a tener suficiente tiempo para leer u oír todas las preguntas y responder a ellas. Algunas serán más fáciles y otras más difíciles. Si llega a alguna donde no sabe la respuesta, use sus habilidades de tomar exámenes para eliminar algunas de las respuestas. De allí escoja la mejor respuesta entre las que faltan.
Puede usar el Mouse para seleccionar la respuesta que desea escoger. De allí use la tecla de "Enter" u oprima el botón "Go On" en la parte abajo de su pantalla para seguir a la próxima pregunta. Una vez que ha contestado una pregunta y sigue a la próxima, no puede regresar a la pregunta anterior.
Si el sonido esta presente vas haber un símbolo. Mueve la flecha con el mouse y has “clic” con el lado izquierdo. Vas escuchar y la computadora te va leer las preguntas que se ven en ingles en español. Si necesita escuchar la pregunta de nuevo haz “clic” otra ves. Puedes hacer “clic” cuantas veces lo desees. Cuando termina el examen, por favor suba la mano para coger la atención de su maestro o maestra.

Student Instructions for the NWEA Mathematics with Spanish Audio Tests
Today you will be taking a special test that allows you to hear the questions in Spanish.
Look at your computer screen. Check to be sure that it has your name and student ID number.
Today you will be taking a test called the Measures of Academic Progress. You will have enough time to read and answer all the questions. Some questions will be easy; others will be more difficult. If you come to one you really don’t know, try to use your test taking skills to eliminate some answer choices. Then choose the best answer of the ones that remain.
You may use the mouse to select the answer you think is the best for each question. Then use the enter key on the keyboard or click the “Go On” button at the bottom of the screen. Once you have answered a question and gone on to the next one, you cannot go back to a previous question.
If sound is available for a question, you will see a button with a picture of a speaker. Move the cursor to the symbol and click on it. The computer will read the question in Spanish while you still see it in English. If you need to hear the sound again, just click on the button again.
When you come to the end of the test, please raise your hand to call the teacher over.
