What's New in Member Support?
We want our partners to be as successful as possible using MAP in the classroom and beyond. Bookmark our Member Support section of the website for useful tips and downloads to help get the most out of your partnership with NWEA.
Here's a peek at some of the resources available at Member Support...
NWEA Glossary of Terms
Ever have a hard time remembering what RIT stands for? It's Rasch Unit- a measurement scale developed to simplify the interpretation of test scores. Or how about the Growth Research Database (GRD)? That's the place where NWEA stores all of its data - which represents about 10% of the U.S. student population and is the largest repository of student growth data of its kind! You can find more about these terms and more at NWEA's Glossary of Terms. Also available on the site in the "downloads" section under "manuals."
Are You Prepared for MAP Testing?
To help our partners prepare for MAP testing, we've created this "quick guide" to provide detailed instructions on how to set up a Network Testing Environment (NTE) for each season. You can also download this document at the Member Support section of the website, under "downloads" and then "manuals." One thing you'll learn? To allow for processing, make sure you submit your class roster file (CRF) and optional special programs file (SPF) at least 2 weeks before your testing window!
Tips for Parents
Keep parents in the loop by providing them with this NWEA "toolkit." It contains several questions many parents have about NWEA assessments, along with answers about why their child is using MAP and how important it can be. Frequently asked questions include "how often will my student be tested?" and "how do teachers use the test scores?" This useful document can also be found under "downloads" and "manuals."
